Mexico City expects a 40% lower crime with video cameras
The government of Mexico hopes to reduce DC in at least 40 percent in crime in the most violent areas of the city, with a network of more than 8,000 new video cameras that will begin to be installed this year.
In the capital, where insecurity is a major problem, there were 122 homicides and 316 sexual crimes and robberies were reported during February 7487, especially against vehicles and pedestrians.
The figures, which are slightly higher than February 2008, are part of a register of the local prosecutor, but independent suggest that the number of unreported crimes is higher.
Installing video cameras
In the three years following 8088 will be placed video cameras at strategic locations such as schools, hospitals, embassies, especially in areas of high incidence of crime, according to the so-called Safe City Bicentennial Project.
3000 The first cameras were installed in the capital from May to begin operating later this year. All cameras will be operational in the second half of 2011.
"With the placement of cameras the city is safer," said the coordinator of the Safe City project, Fausto García Lugo, in an interview. "Patterns of crime in the cities to implement similar programs to reduce video surveillance make a 40 per cent, but may reach 50 or 60 percent," he added.
Part of the cameras, a project in which Telmex, the largest fixed telephony in Mexico, will be the main provider, will be mounted on poles that have a panic button and a loudspeaker so that citizens can report crimes to the authorities in a more agile.
Surveillance and security
He indicated that in July 2011 will also start operating four small robots, unmanned helicopters that carry video cameras to monitor emergencies from the air.
Besides the more than 8,000 monitoring devices, the Metro is placing cameras in their 3000 platform and facilities to monitor any criminal acts or emergencies, he added.
Until now, most of the 400 video cameras installed in the capital, nearly 20 million people whereas the metropolitan area have been used to observe or follow road conflict manifestations.
The project involves a series of Bicentennial celebrations next year, when the criteria of 200 years of independence, in addition to major road works.

Would you like to telecommute to your next job? Of course, I would because it would be very convenient for me. Why? Because I can work from the comfort of my own home and it would be very convenient to my lifestyle.
For example, I go to school online, that means that right after work, I can just go straight forward to complete and do my schooling like this assignment I am completing. There are so many advantages that people don’t have any knowledge about. Some of the advantages are conserving energy meaning that I won’t have to use my car as much, so I won’t waste money on repairs or on gas, which is very expensive. I also won’t have to drive through traffic and that means if more people telecommute, there would also be fewer cars on the streets and highways as well as creating less traffic.
Less traffic, also mean less money we, tax payers, have to spend on building more highways and not only does it save us money, but conserves our energy that we don’t have to waste. Another advantage is it helps preserve our environment, meaning fewer cars on the road would lead to less pollution and emission problems that we currently have. It also means that if there are fewer cars on the road, we can reduce the highways and we can reduce parking lots and create more parks and recreational centers for our children. Another advantage is it promotes safety, meaning if there are fewer cars on the road and highways, which means less car accidents as well. So, people that telecommute would be saving lives every year, instead of being another death statistic due to rush hour traffic, because someone was trying to get to work without being late.
Telecommuting also improves health, that means less stress, because you won’t have to worry about arriving to work on time, or if your car isn’t in good condition to drive, one won’t have to worry about how you are going to make it at work, it just takes some of the everyday stress one would have to go through. A very huge advantage is family.
Telecommuting allows one, to spend time with their family. Instead, of losing precious time with your family , working at some distant location , telecommuting allows you to work at home and spend time with your love ones, making and building stronger relationships, and becoming a closer family , more than ever before.
Telecommuting also allows freedom which means you can work flexible hours and be very comfortable in your own work environment. It also improves in work productivity, which means if one was working in their old job he or she would have to waste time doing ridiculous, unrelated tasks, so instead of wasting that time, one can be improving on their productivity. One other advantage I forgot to mention is that you can telecommute anywhere, so if your family or yourself decides to move, you can telecommute, onto the next destined location, it is almost perfect.
Just like everything in this world, there are always some setbacks. Telecommuting has some disadvantages. Some of these disadvantages are diminished productivity, meaning that for reasons such as family problems can distract one from working, or one can’t seem to concentrate on the work related task due to the fact they occupy themselves with another activity like watching TV or any other non-work related activity.
Another disadvantage would be isolation, if you work for yourself chances are one might be less motivated without working with their peers as before in his or her previous job. One of the most impacting disadvantages is that fact that you can only depend on yourself for everything, including finding sales, updating your work, organizing your work, balancing business accounts, customer service and much, much, more.
This in fact creates a lot more pressure to succeed and a lot more stress to move the company into a better position. What are some of the old thinking concerns about telecommuting? It would be for the fact that it is less interactive with other people.
Meaning that one would lose their social skills and in fact wouldn’t know how to interact well with other people. That could lead to an unsuccessful business, sometimes is harder to convince people to buy or try your product over the phone , than to be live in person trying to convince he or she that your are the company that he or she has been looking for. Everybody thinks differently, there are many people who work better without interacting with people face to face and they got the job done.

If you decide to get a regular printer and don’t want to buy a fax machine, then download the software win fax, and one can receive fax from their computer through their business email account.
Also get the software QuickBooks Intuit 2008, the enterprise edition which works as, an accounting program, a point of sale program, an inventory control program, does just about everything. One last thing to get is Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise edition, which you can use for many things like making pamphlets and flyers, and it’s unlimited to what it can provide for your small business, trust me.

How would I set up a network for a company that has offices in five different states? First of all, I would find out some of the requirements that the companies have registered within their workforce. Requirements such as what is the amount of users in each office, what type of servers does each office has installed, what is the budget for each office to see how much is expendable for this business network, what is the growth expectation for the future of the company, what level of security do each company want to install within each server, and those are just the basic requirements, that one has to know in order to install this big, type of network. My first option would be to use AT&T’s MPLS. MPLS stands for Multi-protocol label switching and it is use to enhance the performance of the IP network. This allows the network to provide a more efficient way to manage applications and send and transfer information from one place to another. This option also provides each office with a VPN security connection. VPN stands for Virtual Private Networking; this type of connection uses the internet’s infrastructure to send and transfers information from one place to another, making this type of connection very safe, secure, and reliable. Also by using this option one can have the option of using WAN , Wide Area Network, which is use to work in a long distance network, instead of using a LAN service , which is only good for local networks like a small office. The second option would be to use a dedicated internet connection to each office. For example, I would use the business class DSL, with the highest amount of upload that this service can provide, for accessing and transferring information. This will also allow each office to run their service by using T1 lines. T1 lines allow the receiving and transferring of all sorts of applications and information, in a big amount, that normal, data transmission lines could not withhold and handle. The next thing to do is to buy watch guard firewalls products for each office to provide the upmost security for each user, office, and server. Those are the two options I offer, the first option is more expensive but more reliable, but the second option is cheaper, but limited. At the end of the day, both of these options work well, to set up a network in a company that have offices in 5 different states.

And I said to myself , luckily no one was hurt and I have all the evidence I need with the 2.4 GHZ wireless camera I just bought about 6 months ago, before I got robbed. So I called the police to make a report , and they came over asking if I had a security system and I replied yes I do , and when we went to take a look at all of the recordings and it was distorted and blurry , and was impossible to make out anything or anyone.
How did you think my reaction was?, I was very angry and disappointed and I threw away my security system. Luckily my insurance covered me for everything without any hassle. The police came and review the recordings and this time everything was crystal clear, you can even see the stain on the robbers clothes, with this recording, the police were able to catch the robbers identify them, so when they did their part , I pressed charges and sent them to jail and even got all my equipment and money back. Microsoft anuncia la salida de Vista SP2

Microsoft ha anunciado hoy que ya esta disponible el SP2 RC para Windows Vista, aunque solo para suscriptores, no estando disponible para el público en general hasta la semana que viene.
Entre la mejoras que podemos encontrar esta:
Mayor compatibilidad con nuevos hardware y nuevos estándares.
Soporte para los nuevos procesadores de 64 bits de VIA.
Incluye el motor de indexación y búsqueda de archivos, Windows Search 4.0
Mejora de la gestión de la energía, menos consumo energetico.
Soporte nativo para la grabación en discos Blu-Ray.
Windows Vista Feature Pack para Wireless, con soporte para Bluetooth v2.1 y la funcionalidad de Windows Conect Now
Mejoras de las conexiones Wi-Fi incluso tras suspender el equipo.
Mejoras para el Media Center y Media Player, en la gestión de contenido protegido para TV.
